Jim Banks is offering fall internships
Congressman Jim Banks is accepting applications for full- and part-time fall internships at his Fort Wayne district office.
College students and recent college graduates are preferred for the unpaid internships that will give an inside view of how a Congressional district office functions and an understanding of the various branches of government and how they interact.
Interns will work with congressional staff, interact with constituents, answer phones, perform administrative work, research federal regulations and legislation and do word processing.
Resumes may be sent to Tinisha Weigelt at [email protected] and should include a writing sample and cover letter.
Escape room
Members of the Adams County Historical Society have created a new event to be held at the Adams County Historical Society Museum, 420 W. Monroe St. in Decatur.
“Escape the Museum” is an interactive, full scale mystery game in which participants are locked in a room and work together to unlock clues to find an exit code.
Event times will be 5:30, 7 and 8:30 p.m. each Friday and Saturday through Sept. 15 and 16.
