Alcove exhibit scheduled

The Alcove Artists’ Art Exhibit and Sale will be held Thursday, Friday and Saturday at John Jay Center for Learning in Portland.
The Alcove is a group of 14 visual and performing artists from Portland and surrounding counties. Their work includes ceramics, wood working, paintings, pastels, drawings, photography, fibers and mixed media.
The sale will be from 3 to 7 p.m. Thursday, with a reception from 5:30 to 7 p.m.; 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. on Friday and 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Saturday. John Jay is located at 101 S. Meridian St. in Portland.
Fall festival
LifeStream will hold its annual Fall Festival on Sept. 13 with interactive activities, informational programs and demonstrations, pontoon boat rides, bingo, a car show, musical entertainment and a health fair.
The festival will be held from 10 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. at the Treaty Line Pioneer Village, 3801 W. Dunlapsville Road in Liberty. Lunch will be available to purchase.

The date and location of the Towne Squares Quilt Club’s 36th annual quilt showhas been changed.
It will be held Friday, Sept. 29, and Saturday, Sept. 30 in the Youth Building at Darke County Fairgrounds in Greenville, Ohio.
