Harriet Ann Adair, age 87, 811 W. Walnut St., Portland, passed away Saturday evening in Persimmon Ridge Healthcare. She was born in Portland on Sept. 6, 1930, the daughter of Lester and Lois Luella (Buckmaster) Lotz. She was married to Donald Graves and he died in 1975, she later married Donald Adair who survives. She had worked at Modern Book Bindery, Tom and Rod's, Fisher's Packing and CTS. She was a 1948 Portland High School graduate.
Surviving are her husband Donald; three daughters, Lou Ann Wallischeck of Portland, Lindy Lu Bailey of Portland and Cindy Sue Weitzel (husband: Paul) of Portland; three step-daughters, Debra Keys of Chehalis, Washington, Julie Erickson of Morten, Washington, and Kathy Gray of Fort Wayne; two brothers, Jay Lotz of Indianapolis and Milton Lotz of Monticello, Indiana; one sister, Lois England of Portland; 12 grandchildren; four step-grandchildren; 27 great-grandchildren; and two step-great-grandchildren.
Funeral services will be Wednesday at 2 p.m. in the Baird-Freeman Funeral Home with Pastor Darrell Borders presiding. Burial will follow in the Green Park Cemetery. Visitation will be Wednesday from noon to 2 p.m. Memorials can be made to the Jay County Cancer Society.
