Betty Teal

Betty J. Teal, 81, of Rochester, Indiana, formerly of Dunkirk, Indiana, passed away early Friday morning, Dec. 8, 2017, at Peabody Retirement Village of North Manchester, Indiana.

She was born June 3, 1936, in Muncie, Indiana, the daughter of Otis and Florence Woods (Suttle).

Betty was a homemaker. She was a member of Full Gospel Lighthouse Tabernacle of Dunkirk, Indiana.

She leaves to cherish her memory three granddaughters, Megan DeMien (husband: Ryan) of Macy, Indiana, Heather Teal and Amanda McKinney; and great-grandchildren Tenley and Emersyn DeMien, Cameron and Cadence Nibarger, Myah Sargeant, Rage Pace, Tyre Teal, and Brent and Samantha Davis.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Silas E. Teal; a son, Michael Teal; a daughter, Rebecca Thompson; and three sisters, Marie Sallee, Ollie McGregor and Stella Brown.

A memorial service to celebrate Betty’s life will be 11 a.m. Monday, Dec. 18, 2017, at Dunkirk Memorial Chapel of Dunkirk, Indiana. Burial will follow at Gardens of Memory of Muncie, Indiana.
