Mary Keen
Mary E. Keen, age 91, Portland, passed away Tuesday at Persimmon Ridge Healthcare.
She was born in Fort Jefferson, Ohio, the daughter of Lee Roy and Mary E. (King) Trobridge. She was married Nov. 11, 1945, to Charles C. Keen and he died June 17, 2004.
She was retired from Jay Garment and had worked for Marine Airship Records in Washington, D.C., during World War II. She was a lifetime member of First Church of the Nazarene.
Surviving are three sons, Charles “Stan” Keen (wife: Judy) of LaFollette, Tennessee, David Duane Keen of Portland and the Rev. William Keen (wife: Lana) of Warsaw; two daughters, Judy Smith (husband: Gary) of Portland and Cheryl Buckingham (husband: Steve) of Geneva; one sister, Barbara Paradine of Waterloo, Iowa; 18 grandchildren, one step-grandson; and several great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren.
Funeral services will be Saturday at 10 a.m. in the First Church of the Nazarene with Pastor Steve Hundley presiding. Burial will follow in the Antioch Cemetery.
Visitation will be Friday from 4 to 7 p.m. in the Baird-Freeman Funeral Home and Saturday at the church one hour prior to services.
Memorials can be made to the First Church of the Nazarene or Jay County Cancer Society.
