NOTICE OF A HEARING ON PROPOSED RATES AND CHARGES

Property owners, ratepayers and other interested parties in or served by the water utility of the City of Dunkirk, Indiana are hereby notified that Ordinance No. 2017-7 establishing rates and charges for services to be rendered by the water utility was introduced at a meeting of the City Council on November 29, 2017. At a meeting of the City Council to be held at 7:00 p.m. on the 28th day of December, 2017 in the City Building, 131 S. Main Street, Dunkirk, Indiana there will be a public hearing on the matter of rates and charges and consideration of the adoption of Ordinance No, 2017-7 which provides as follows: 

There are established for the use of and the service rendered by the waterworks system of the City, the following rates and charges, based on the use of water supplied by said waterworks system:



(A) Metered User Block Schedule:

Effective January 1, 2018, for use of and service rendered by the waterworks system of the City, based on the use of water supplied by said waterworks system:

Consumption per month Rate per 100 cu. ft.

First 133 cu. ft. $13.36

Next 1,533 cu. ft. $6.70

Over 1,666 cu. ft. $5.61



Effective January 1, 2019, for use of and service rendered by the waterworks system of the City, based on the use of water supplied by said waterworks system:

Consumption per month Rate per 100 cu. ft.

First 133 cu. ft. $16.03

Next 1,533 cu. ft. $8.04

Over 1,666 cu. ft. $6.73



(B) Metered User Minimum Schedule:

Effective Janyary 1, 2018, each user shall pay a minimum charge in accordance with the following applicable size of meter installed, for which the user will be entitled to the quantity of water set out in the above schedule of rates.
