Slide off
An Anderson woman’s car slid off the road early Sunday morning.
Dianna L. Wilson, 50, was traveling west on county road 200 South at approximately 4 a.m. when she slid off the road in her 2010 Chevy Cobalt.
Police found her vehicle in the ditch around 2:56 p.m. where it appeared the vehicle had struck a tree, Sprint phone box, a survey marker and a county owned sign. Wilson told police that she walked about three miles after the accident occurred looking for someone to let her use a telephone. She was unaware that she caused any property damage.
Estimated damage in the accident was $2,500 to $5,000.
Lost control
A Portland man was involved in an accident Monday morning.
Chad J. Jackson, 40, was traveling east on 100 East when he crested a hill and lost control of his vehicle. His 2003 Dodge Durango registered to Virginia Jackson, Portland, spun 180 degrees and struck a tree before coming to a stop.
Damage in the accident was estimated at $2,500 to $5,000.
Deer hit
An accident involving a deer occurred on Friday afternoon.
Ann Grisez, 38, North Star, Ohio, was traveling east on county road 400 South when a deer ran out in front of her. She was unable to avoid hitting the deer with her 2016 Honda registered to Russell N. Grisez, North Star, Ohio.
Damage in the accident was estimated at $1,000 to $2,500.
