NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN THAT: Daniel F Schwartz, 2446 E 800 N, Bryant Indiana has ?led with the Jay County Board of Zoning Appeals a petition, # VAR20l7-12-19, requesting a Variance to the zoning regulations, to wit:
Location: 2446 E 800 N, Bryant, Indiana, between CR 200 E & CR 250 E, on the North side, Bearcreek Township, Section 4

Action Requested: Requesting two (2) Variances to the setback regulations for the construction of a 150 head calf barn on said property. The proposed building will be 500 it from the nearest residence and the Jay County Zoning Ordinance Section 216.3(A) states the residential setback is 750 ft requiring a variance of 250 ft. Also, the building will be 600' from the Jay Creek School and Section 216.3(A) also states the setback from a school is 1,250 It requiring a variance of 650 ft.
A public hearing will be held by said Board of Zoning Appeals on January 18, 2018 at 7:00 P.M. in the Community Resource Center, 118 S Meridian Street, Portland, Indiana.
The petition and file on this matter are available for public inspection at the J ay/Portland Building & Planning Department, 118 South Meridian Street, Portland, Indiana, 47371. If unable to attend the hearing, any statement setting forth any facts or opinions relating to the matter must be presented in
writing to the Jay/Portland Building & Planning Department not less than ten (10) days before the hearing.
