Norma Puckett

Norma Jean Puckett, age 92, of Portland passed away Thursday morning in Jay County Hospital. She was born in Portland November 10, 1925, the daughter of Charles W. “Jack” and Grace (Lare) Caster. She was married in 1951 to William J. Puckett and he died October 11, 1999. She was bookkeeper and manager of Portland Office Supply. She was a member of Asbury United Methodist Church, Psi Iota Xi and graduate of Gov. I.P. Gray High School.

Surviving are two daughters, Lisa Anderson (husband: Robert) of Winchester and Karen Walsmith (husband: Steven) of Carmel, Indiana; three grandchildren, one step-granddaughter, one great grandson and three step-grandchildren, She was preceded in death by a step-daughter, Shirley Shepherd

Funeral services will be Tuesday, January 2, at 4 p.m. in the Baird-Freeman Funeral Home with Harold Miller presiding. Burial will be in the Green Park Cemetery.
