Jim Davis to visit Ball State
Ball State Alumnus and “Garfield” creator Jim Davis will visit Ball State University tonight.
Davis will discuss “The Business of Garfield” at 7 p.m. in Sursa Hall. The event is free and open to the public.
Davis is a 1967 graduate of BSU and began leading a series of master courses for the School of Art this academic year.
His “Garfield” comic strip has been published for almost 40 years.
Fiber Arts Festival
The 2017 Jay County Fiber Arts Festival will be held on March 10 and 11 at Jay Community Center in Portland, with classes beginning March 9.
In addition to classes, there will be artists, storytelling, demonstrations, sheep shearing, vendors, food a kids area and more.
Kate Larson, whose work has appeared in “Spin-Off” and “Jane Austen Knits” will teach several classes as well as other area artists. For more information, see KateLarsonTextiles.com.
