Dec. 30 vs. Muncie Central: An old-fashioned three-point play from Jay Houck in the final minute sent the game into overtime and the Patriots were perfect from the free-throw line in a 54-47 victory over the Bearcats. Houck had a team-high 13 points, Cole Stigleman added 12 and Jason Schlosser tallied 10.
Season leaders (per game): Points — Jay Houck 18.4, Jason Schlosser 13.6, Cole Stigleman 7.3. Rebounds — Jay Houck 8.4, Jason Schlosser 6.0. Assists — Ryan Schlechty 2.9.

Tuesday at Fremont: Adams Central dropped its sixth straight game with a 57-44 road loss to Fremont. Blake Bauman led the Jets with nine points, while Kyle Arnold tallied eight.
Season leaders (per game): Points — Johnny Carroll 13.1, Kevin?Brown 8.0, Drew Schultz 5.3, Dylan Miller 4.9.
Last season: Jay County swept Adams Central in both meetings last season, including a 47-41 overtime victory in the ACAC tournament championship. The Patriots also won 53-35 in their regular season meeting in Monroe. Kyler Carvel led JCHS with a dozen points in the tournament title game, while tourney MVP Adam Dirksen and Jay Houck had 11 apiece.
Game notes: This is the eighth meeting all time between Jay County and Adams Central, and the Patriots have won all seven contests.
