In their last home meet of the regular season, the Patriot girls picked up three wins on Tuesday.
The boys squad split.
Jay County High School’s girls swim team won 10 events on its way to victories against the Winchester Golden Falcons, Blackford Bruins and Burris Owls.
The Patriots beat the Golden Falcons 84-9, the Owls 82-20 and the Bruins 78-23.
Jay County’s boys lost to Burris 54-48 and defeated Blackford 77-21.
Vivienne Kunkler, Elizabeth McDowell and Erica Hathaway all won two events for the JCHS girls. Kunkler was first in the 200-yard freestyle and 100 breaststroke, McDowell won the 200 IM and 500 freestyle, with Hathaway placing first in the 50 and 100 freestyle events.
Alex Bader also earned an individual win in the 100 butterfly, while joining McDowell, Kunkler and Hathaway to take the 200 freestyle relay.
Emma James, McDowell, Kunkler and Bader teamed for a victory in the 200 medley relay, and Jamie Valentine, Jenna Dunfee, Hathaway and Bader won the 400 freestyle relay.

Star swimmers split
MUNCIE — The South Adams swim teams split a meet with the host Delta Eagles on Tuesday.
The SAHS girls won 109-76 to move to 13-0 on the season. The Starfire boys fell 118-60.
Ashton Klopp and Ashley LeFever were each dual winners for the SAHS girls. Klopp won the 200-yard freestyle and 100 butterfly races, while LeFever was first in the 50 and 100 freestyle events.
Brette Klopp and Audrey Burson won the 200 individual medley and 100 breaststroke respectively.
Burson, LeFever and the Klopps teamed to win the 200 medley relay; Olivia Von Gunten, Isabel Von Gunten and Caroline Kloepper joined Burson for a 200 freestyle relay victory; and Olivia Von Gunten, LeFever and the Klopps won the 400 freestyle.
Zach Colpaert (50 freestyle), Tyler Yoder (diving) and Zach Teeple (100 backstroke) won their respective events for the SAHS boys.
SA falls to Braves
BERNE — South Adams’ boys basketball team had its rally fall short Tuesday in a 61-57 loss to the Bellmont Braves.
Bellmont (3-12) got off to a good start, leading South Adams (8-7) 11-7 after the first period and 22-17 at half. The Braves had a 23-13 margin in the third quarter to lead 45-30 before South Adams started to make its comeback.
The Starfires scored 27 points in the final eight minutes but their comeback came up short.
Jared Grabau was 11-for-14 from the field on his way to a game-high 26 points. He also grabbed a game-best eight rebounds.
Marcus Teeter followed with 13 points while NIck Wurster added seven points and Lucas Bluhm chipped in five points.
Jordan Fluelling paced the Braves with 18 points.
South Adams’ junior varsity team won 47-39. Terry Dawn led the way with 17 points, and Joe Stuber was second on the team with 12 points.
EJ boys split
The East Jay Middle School sixth grade boys basketball teams split with the Union City Indians on Tuesday.
The A team won 61-11, and the B team fell 16-15 on a buzzer beater.
Blake Bogenschutz and Benett Weitzel each scored 15 points to lead the A squad. Dusty Pearson added seven points while Carter Link, Peter Muhlenkamp and Matthew Fields chipped in six points each. Brady Davis and Isaac Kunkler contributed two points apiece.
Joseph Kunkler led the B team with four points. Conner McFarland, Mitch Brunswick, Jay Goodrich, Sebastian Solis and Caleb Darnell all had two points. Koby Lewellen added one free throw in the loss.
