Ivy Tech to offer kids baking camp

Ivy Tech Community College is offering a baking camp for middle school students ages 10 to 14 years old.
It will be held from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. Monday through Thursday and 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. on Friday, July 14 at the Fort Wayne campus at 3800 N. Anthony Blvd.
Students will spend the week baking cakes, cookies, pastries and breads with professional pastry chefs. On the final day, families are invited to sample the baked goods made by students.

Professor Tim Willig is set to speak on July 30 at Fort Recovery State Museum.
He will speak at 3 p.m. about his book “Restoring the Chain of Friendship; British Policy and the Indians of the Great Lakes, 1783-1815.” Copies of the book will be available at the museum for him to sign.
More than $5,000 was raised for the Fort Recovery historical society at the pie auction during the Fort Recovery Jubilee.
