Ronald McDonald to visit Jay Public Library

Ronald McDonald is coming to Jay County Public Library on Monday.

All ages are welcome to visit Ronald at 11 a.m. on Monday for magic, tricks and jokes.

The event will take place in the Community Room at the library at 315 N. Ship St. in Portland.

JayCPL Book Club will meet at 7 p.m. on Monday at JCPL to discuss “Recipes for Love and Murder” by Sally Andrews.

Summertime Fun Bunch continues from 10 to 11 a.m. on Friday at the library and again on July 21.



Quilt show

The annual quilt show will once again be held during Swiss Days in Berne.

The show will be held Thursday, July 27, through Saturday, July 29, at First Mennonite Church Family Life Center, 566 W. Main St. in Berne. Admission is $4.

Anyone wishing to enter quilts in the show may bring them to the church between 2 and 7 p.m. on Wednesday, July 26. A free quilt show admission ticket will be given for the first two entries.
