Craig Coy

Craig A. Coy, 53, Lincoln, Illinois, died July 7 at his home. He was a former Dunkirk resident.

Born in Beech Grove to Donald J. and Judith J. (Hollenbaugh) Coy, he was a graduate of Jay County High School and Purdue University.

He married Lori Musselman in 1995 and later married Rosa Urzua Maturana of Rancagua, Chile, South America, who survives.

An agriculture research specialist, he had worked at Sommer Brothers Seed Company in Pekin in the 1990s and later for Syngenta in Pekin and Clinton.

He attended Assembly of God Church in Pekin for many years and then New Castle Bible Church in Mackinaw.

Surviving in addition to his wife are his mother and stepfather, Judith J. and Tony Gaunt, Dunkirk; his stepmother, Julie Coy, Indianapolis; a son, Logan Coy, Tremont, Illinois; a daughter, Elena Coy Urzua, Rancagua, Chile; a stepson, Carlos Urzua, Rancagua; four brothers, Doug Coy (wife: Darlene), Las Vegas, Bruce Coy (wife: Stephanie), Fort Branch, Brian Coy (wife: Kim), Evansville, and Donald D. Coy (wife: Danelle), Indianapolis; a stepbrother, Nicholas Gaunt (girlfriend: Tanya), Dunkirk; two sisters, Paula Bell, Muncie, and Julie E. Coy, Indianapolis; and several cousins, nieces and nephews.

A memorial service will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday at Tremont Baptist Church with Pastor Noah Lee officiating. 

Visitation will be held from 6 to 8 p.m. Friday at Davis-Oswald Funeral Home in Tremont and one hour prior to services on Saturday at the church.
