Bell Aquaculture previously produced trout, perch and coho salmon.
AquaBounty Technologies will employ approximately 30 people at the Albany farm, with about $10 million in sales. Salmon production is slated to begin in the second quarter of 2018 and the first harvest will take place in the second half of 2019.

Rate increase
Indiana Michigan Power is proposing a rate increase as part of its plan to reduce power outages.
The Building the Future plan would raise rates in two phases, first in summer 2018 and then early 2019, eventually increasing by 19.7 percent. Additionally, the current fixed charge of $7.30 would increase to $18.
These increases would help pay for trimming and clearing of trees and vegetation by power lines, the No. 1 source of power outages for I&M customers, according to a press release. The company would also place stronger poles and wires that will better withstand weather events and reduce outages.
The plan, which would generate $263 million for I&M, awaits approval by the Indiana Utility Regulatory Commission.
