Donald Huelskamp

Donald A. Huelskamp, 90, Mount Gilead, Ohio, a former Fort Recovery resident, died Wednesday at his home.

Born in St. Joe, Ohio, to Henry and Eleanora (Nieberding) Huelskamp, he was a graduate of Indiana Technical College in Fort Wayne.

A veteran of the United States Navy serving during World War II, he retired from HMP Corporation in Mount Gilead, Ohio, where he was a mechanical engineer.

He was a member of Sacred Heart Catholic Church, Cardington, Ohio, and was a trail volunteer at Mount Gilead State Park.

A Mass of Christian burial will be held at 10:30 a.m. Monday at St. Joseph Catholic Church, St. Joe, Ohio, with the Rev. Ned Brown officiating. Burial will be in St. Joseph Cemetery with military graveside honors performed by the American Legion in Fort Recovery.

Visitation is 1 to 4 p.m. Sunday and 9 to 9:45 a.m. Monday at Brockman-Boeckman Funeral Home in Fort Recovery.
