The Jay County Summer Swim Team opened its season Tuesday with a 1,505-292 victory over Union City at Jay County High School.
Seven swimmers — Maria Laux, Creed Beiswanger, Josh Monroe, Ashlyn Dow, Eliza Bader, Elizabeth McDowell and Alex Bader — all won three individual events.
Earning two wins apiece were Anika Fennig, Raif Beiswanger, Alex Miller, Morgan DeHoff, Maddy Snow, George Clemmons, Mara Bader, Ralph Link, Bode Malott, Damian Hicks, Jason Minnich and Garrett Campbell.
Brena Brewster, Jaxson DeHoff, Sam Wiggins, Aubrey Millspaugh, David Keen, Hannah Laux, Sophie Saxman, Dorane Beiswanger, Griffin Mann, Erica Hathaway and Matthew Minnich each had individual victories.
Jay County won every relay event and all but six individual races. It travels to Norwell Middle School at 9 a.m. Saturday for the Wabash Valley Conference Relays.
