Pie contest to be held
Fort Recovery Harvest Jubilee begins Wednesday in Fort Recovery and continues through Sunday.
A pie contest will be held at 8 p.m. Friday.
Fruit, cream or speciality pies may be brought to headquarters by 7:30 p.m.
A $25 prize will be awarded in each category and pies will be auctioned off after the contest with proceeds going toward the purchase of two benches in Krenning Park.

Graduates
Andrew R. Swoveland, Pennville, graduated from Bethel University on May 6 in McKenzie, Tennessee.
He earned a bachelor of science degree.
Fort Recovery residents earned degrees from the University of Findlay (Ohio).
Shelby Brunswick and Shane Stein earned doctor of physical therapy degrees.
Greg Kahlig earned a bachelor of science in accounting degree.
Dean’s list
Brayden L. Dues, Portland, a 2014 graduate of Jay County High School, was named to the spring semester dean’s list at Wilmington (Ohio) College. He is a senior majoring in agriculture.
Morgan Dues, Elizabeth Wendel and Julie Wolfe were named to the spring semester dean’s list at Rhodes State College.
Elijah Kahlig, Fort Recovery, was named to the Who’s Who Among Students in American Universities and was named as a Dana Scholar.
