A three-run deficit against one of the best teams on their schedule was not enough to keep the home team down.
The Portland Rockets rallied with a five-run seventh inning to take the lead and went on to a 10-6 victory Tuesday over the visiting Ohio Warhawks.
Portland (11-7) took a 1-0 lead against the Dayton-based squad thanks to a solo home run from Dalton Tinsley and was up 3-2 when starter Garrett Scott left the mound after five innings. It fell behind 6-3 in the seventh before rallying.
Tristen Becker was key to the comeback as he smacked a two-run double with the bases loaded in the big seventh inning. He finished with a pair of hits, as did 2002 Jay County High School graduate Mitch Waters, Zach Tanner and Cody Krumlauf.
Derek Thobe picked up the win in relief of Scott.
