Phyllis L. Dickey, 84, Hartford City, died Monday at IU Health Blackford Hospital.
Born in Portland, she was the daughter of William Jamieson and Dorothy L. (Gillett) Jamieson-Kile and was a 1950 graduate of Portland High School.
She married Roger L. Dickey on July 30, 1950, and he preceded her in death on July 9, 1978.
Retiring from Citizens State Bank, she was a member of Sweet Adeline’s – Christmas City Chapter and was an avid piano player.
Surviving are three daughters, Jani D. Downhour (husband: Steve), Diana S. Ring (husband: Jerry L.) and Brenda L. Rench (husband: Marc), all of Hartford City; three sons, Terry L. Dickey (wife: Beverly), Hartford City, Larry L. Dickey (wife: Daphne), Dunkirk, and Bruce W. Dickey (fiance: Margo), Fort Lauderdale, Florida; a sister, Darlene K. Anderson (husband: Charles), Portland; a brother, Ron D. Kile (wife: Harriett), Hartford City; 27 grandchildren, 25 great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.
Services are 11 a.m. Saturday at Hartford City Wesleyan Church, 1301 S. Walnut St., with Pastor David Bannach officiating. Burial will be in Gardens of Memory, Muncie.
Visitation is 3 to 8 p.m. Friday at Keplinger Funeral Home, 509 N. High St. in Hartford City, and 9 to 11 a.m. Saturday at the church.
