Whitacre's celebrating 50 years
Former Portland and Fort Recovery residents Joe and Donna Whitacre, 225 Zermatt Drive, Berne, are celebrating their 50th wedding anniversary on Saturday.
Joe married Donna Reed on March 11, 1967, in Portland.
Donna retired from Kaup Pharmacy in Fort Recovery in 2015 after 19 years and Joe retired as an automotive machinist at Portland NAPA in 2013 after 50 years of service.
They are the parents of Mike Whitacre (wife: Brenda), Fort Recovery, and Lisa Lefeld (husband: Luke), New Weston, Ohio. They also have six grandchildren.
The couple will celebrate with family and a Mississippi River cruise.
