Services for Frederick W. Davidson, 89, Geneva, are 10 a.m. Tuesday at Bethel Brethren Church with Pastor Joseph Nass officiating. He died Saturday at Adams Memorial Hospital in Decatur.
Born in Berne to Don M. and Mary H. (Martin) Davidson, he married Chloe Bailey on July 3, 1948, and she survives.
A veteran of the United States Air Force, he retired from I.H.C. in Fort Wayne in 1983, after 27 years of service, and had also worked at Smith Brothers Furniture in Berne for 13 years, Yager Furniture in Berne for five years and Simons for several years.
A member of Bethel Brethren Church and Geneva Coffee Club, he was on Adams County Council on Aging for five years and served as a trustee board member for five years, Geneva Town Council member for eight years and Adams County Economic Development board for eight years.
Surviving in addition to his wife are two daughters, Deborah Parrett, and Jocelyn “Jodi” Zerby (husband: James), both of Berne; two sons, James E. Davidson (wife: Mary) and Mark T. Davidson (Nancy Scott), both of Berne; eight grandchildren and 15 great-grandchildren.
Visitation is 2 to 8 p.m. Monday and 9 to 10 a.m. Tuesday at Bethel Brethren Church, 718 E. Main St. in Berne. Burial will be in West Lawn Cemetery in Geneva with military rites conducted by the United States Air Force and Berne American Legion.
Memorials may be sent to the American Heart Association, 5635 W. 96th St., Indianapolis, IN 46278.
