Poling banquet to be held on Saturday

There is still time to register for the Poling High School Alumni Banquet to be held Saturday in the fellowship building of Union Chapel Church, 6200 N. 375 West, Bryant.

Doors will open at 4 p.m. and the meal will be served at 5:30 p.m.



Madison banquet

The Madison Township High School 50th Alumni banquet is set for Saturday, May 13, at Portland Lions Civic Center, 307 E. 100 North, Portland.

Honor classes are 1927, ‘32, ‘37, ‘42, ‘47, ‘52, ‘57, ‘62 and ‘67.

Registration begins at 4 p.m. and dinner will be at 5 p.m.

The Jay County Historical Museum will be open for alumni to visit before the banquet. It is located at 903 E. Main St. in Portland.



Touch-a-Truck

The 3rd annual Touch-a-Truck event wil begin at 10 a.m. Saturday on the Swiss Heritage & Museum Grounds, 1200 Swiss Way, Berne.

There will be a large assortment of trucks and other vehicles, a fly-in from Lutheran Air at 11 a.m. and K-9 demonstrations at 12:30 p.m.

There will be a bounce house, balloons, games and face painting for kids.

Village and museum tours and lunch will be available.



Art show

The Jay County High School Student Art Show will be held Friday and Saturday in the auxiliary gym of the high school.

Awards will be given at 1 p.m. on Friday and artwork will be on display to the public from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. on Saturday.

Admission is free.
