Muffins with mom will be held Saturday
Taking Note
Mother’s Day will be celebrated at Jay County Public Library with Muffins with Mothers and Others at 10 a.m. Saturday.
There will be tea and muffins and a craft will be made.
Please make reservations by calling the library at (260) 726-7890.
DIY Mother’s Day Card Making will be held from 2 to 6 p.m. on Tuesday at the library.
The event will be held in the children’s area and supplies will be available.
Decorator needed
Arts Place is in search of an instructor to teach cake decorating and pie making for its Arts in the Parks program.
Classes will be held at Jay County High School on June 5, 6, 12, 13 and 19.

Achievement Day
Jay County Extension Homemakers will have their annual Achievement Day Awards Program at 9 a.m. Tuesday at the Jay County 4-H Building at Jay County Fairgrounds.
The theme is “What’s New For Seniors” and guest speakers will be Phil Ford from West Jay Community Center and Emily Tarter from Jay Community Center.
Extension Homemakers are asked to bring a covered dish and table service.

The DVD lecture series on Winston Churchill continues at John Jay Center for Learning, 101 S. Meridian St. in Portland.
“Rallying the Nation: The Tide of War Turns” will be from 10 to 11:30 a.m. Tuesday and “Champion of Freedom: The Legacy of Churchill” will be held on May 16.
The Spring 2017 Speaker Series also continues at John Jay.
“The Code” will be from 10 to 11:30 a.m. on May 12 and 19.
“The White House: The Inside Story” will be from 10 to 11:30 a.m. May 11 and 18.
