BERNE — Addie Wanner had four wins Friday.
She and her teammates captured the team title.
Wanner led the host Starfire track team to the championship in the South Adams Invitational.
SAHS scored 180 points, leaving no doubt it was the dominant team. Heritage (107) was second and Bluffton (90) placed third.
The Starfire boys scored 112 points to finish third, behind Bluffton (150) and Heritage (116).
Wanner won the 100-meter hurdles in 15 seconds, then picked up a victory in the 300 hurdles in 50.2 seconds. She was also first in the high jump (5 feet, 6 inches) and long jump (15 feet, 6.5 inches).
Caroline Kloepper and Kallee Patch were each dual event winners. Kloepper won the 100 dash in 13 seconds, and ran to a time of 27.3 seconds to capture the top spot in the 200 dash.
Patch edged teammate Olivia Von Gunten to win the 1,600 run in 5 minutes, 38.1 seconds, and beat out Hadi Hawbaker for a 3,200 victory in 12:10.9.
Von Gunten was first in the 800 run in 2:32.3. Eliza Harruff was third in the event.
Calyssa Lehman picked up a win in the shot put with a distance of 32 feet, 2 inches, and she was second in discus at 84 feet, 9 inches.
South Adams’ 4x400 relay team of Olivia Von Gunten, Isabel Von Gunten, Ashley LeFever and Kloepper won in 4:28.6. The Von Gunten sisters teamed with Harruff and Patch for a victory in the 4x800 relay.
Bailey McIntire was a double winner for the SAHS boys. He claimed the top spot in the 1,600 run in 4:20.8, then had a time of 10:35.2 to win the 3,200 run. Andres Martinez and Lars In’t Groen each had individual victories. Martinez won the 400 dash in 55.2, and In’t Groen cleared 5 feet, 6 inches to win high jump.
Cam Cook, Drake Deitsch, Martinez and McIntire teamed for a victory in the 4x400 relay, while Victor Vazquez, Martinez, Cook and McIntire combined to win the 4x800 relay in 8:46.9.
