SPENCERVILLE, Ohio — As a freshman, Robby LeFevre was second to Drew Reiss in the 200-meter dash at district by five hundredths of a second.

This time around, LeFevre didn’t get beat.

LeFevre, a Fort Recovery High School sophomore, won the 200 dash in the Division III Northwest District meet Saturday at Spencerville.

He also qualified for regional in another individual event, while helping a relay earn the right to compete for another week.

The top four in each event advance to the regional meet, which is Wednesday and Friday at Tiffin University.

Fort Recovery’s boys tied for 10th in the team standings with 34 points. Minster totaled 103 to claim the team title. St. Henry was second with 69 points, edging Parkway by a half point.

Minster also won the girls title with 148 points. New Bremen (79) was second and Ottoville (62) finished third.

LeFevre, who tied for eighth in the state in the event as a freshman, ran to a time of 22.99 seconds Saturday. He finished ahead of Reiss, a Delphos Jefferson senior who had a time of 23.12 seconds.

The Tribe sophomore was also second in the 100 dash in 11.31 seconds.

Travis Sutter and Chloe Will will be joining LeFevre in the regional meet as individuals.

Sutter, who added a sixth-place finish in the 3,200, was runner up in the 1,600 run in 4 minutes, 38.08 seconds. Will placed third in the 3,200 in 11:53.13.

LeFevre helped the boys 4x100 relay team of Riley Pearson, Jacob Acheson, Brayden Schoen finish fourth in 45.39 seconds.

Lauren Gehle, Audrey Guggenbiller and Paige Hemmert joined Angela Heitkamp to place eighth in the 4x100 relay, and teamed with Hannah Heitkamp to place ninth in the 4x200 relay. Guggenbiller, Hemmert and the Heitkamps were ninth in the 4x400 relay.

Also competing for the FRHS boys were Jared Timmerman (ninth – 400 dash, ninth – long jump), Matt Kuess (13th – shot put, 14th – discus), Cade Stone (18th – shot put), John Knapke (25th – shot put) and Anthony Merrill (27th – discus).

For the FRHS girls were Hannah Heitkamp (10th – 300 hurdles), Angela Heitkamp (13th – 100 dash, 17th – 200 dash), Kristen Keller (14th – shot put, 26th – discus), Carissa Evers (24th – shot put), Madi Rammel (28th – shot put) and Gehle (10th – 100 dash).
