The John Jay Center for Learning spring speaker series continues with the next event held from 6 to 8:30 p.m. on Tuesday, May 30, in the Jay County High School auditorium.
Author Robert D. Lupton will discuss his book “Toxic Charity: How Churches and Charities Hurt Those They Help (And How to Reverse It).”
Limberlost program
The Friends of the Limberlost State Historic Site in Geneva will give a free performance Friday in Fort Wayne.
“A Song in the Wilderness,” a one-woman show about Gene Stratton-Porter after she moves to California, will begin at 7 p.m. at Allen County Public Library, 900 Library Plaza in Fort Wayne.

Arts Place, Blackford Center, in Hartford City, will feature artwork by Sandy Hall, Leslie Newton and Jennifer Smith in the exhibit “Blending Interpretations of the American Southwest.”
The exhibit will begin on June 5 and continue through July 14.
