Jack Brenner, age 78, a resident of Portland, passed away on Sunday, Nov. 5, 2017, at Lutheran Hospital in Fort Wayne.
Jack was born on Jan.18, 1939, in Dunkirk, Indiana, the son of Clarence and Catherine (Elliott) Brenner. He worked for Indiana Glass in Dunkirk for 26 years and St. John Catholic Church in Hartford City. Jack was a handyman who was able to fix about everything with a little ingenuity. He married Vada Arnold on Oct. 13, 1957, and she passed away on Jan. 13, 1986. He later married Ruth Arnold on April 26, 1986 and she passed away on April 23, 2017.

One son — Michael Brenner (fiancé: Annette Stults), Portland, Indiana
Three daughters — Rhonda Henry (husband: Mike), Portland, Indiana, Rhoda Feierstein (husband: Howard), Florence, Arizona, and Becky Keen, Florence, Arizona
Six sisters — Betty Sargent (husband: Jerry),. Hartford City, Indiana, Mary Smith (husband: Bob), Dunkirk, Indiana, Vera Wallace, Kokomo, Indiana, Nancy Hobson, Muncie, Indiana, Anna Carroll (husband: Bob), Hartford City, Indiana, and Agnes Day (husband: Bill), Fort Wayne, Indiana
Three brothers — Bob Brenner (wife: Kathy), Portland, Indiana, Tex Brenner (wife: Sharon), Hartford City, Indiana, and Russell Brenner (wife: Vicky), Kentucky
Ten grandchildren, 18 great grandchildren and one great-great-granddaughter.
Private services will be held at a later date.
