Holiday Art Shoppe
Arts Place, Blackford County Arts Center, will host a Holiday Art Shoppe from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. Saturday for everyone to get a jump start on their Christmas shopping.
Vendors Greg and Suzanne Pace, Leslie Newton, Jill Palumbo, Steve McClung, Carol Tropf, Diana Seelig and Michelle Risinger will be selling paintings,jewelry and pottery.

AngelWish Program
LifeStream’s AngelWish Program will take place again this Christmas to help isolated senior citizens and those with disabilities in Jay and surrounding counties by providing food, personal care items, practicalnecessities and gifts.
LifeStream has partnered for more than 20 years with businesses, clubs, organizations,churches and individuals to ensure the most vulnerable are not forgotten during the holidays. Last year, more than 800 gift packages were delivered.
Help is needed to volunteer to package and deliver gift bags, donate items, be a sponsor, make a monetary donation or be a drop off location.
Needed items include peanut butter, tuna, soups, bath soap, hand lotion, shampoo, deodorant, denture cleaner, toilet paper, hand sanitizer,dish washing liquid and tissue paper.
Sponsors can get their logo and namelisted on print and online materials and the opportunity to provide promotional materials. LifeStream will provide businesses wanting to be a hot spot with a donation box and will periodically empty the box.
A donation of $25 will provide one gift bag. Checks should be made payable to LifeStream Services (note AngelWish) and mailed to 1701 Pilgrim Blvd., Yorktown, IN 47396.
Drop off locations in Portland include Arts Place, 131 E. Walnut St.; Jay Community Center, 115 E. Water St.; LifeStream Services, 430 W. Lafayette St. No. 132; Persimmon Ridge Rehabilitation Center, 200 N. Park St.; and State of the Heart Care, 1237 Indiana 67.

Museum Christmas
The Jay County Historical Society will once again present Christmas at the Museum.
An open house will be held from 1 to 4 p.m. on Saturday, Nov. 25. More than 20 decorated trees will be on display throughout the museum. Refreshments will be served.
Monetary donations and items for the Jay County Humane Society will be accepted, including dog and cat food, treats, toys, cat litter, Pine Sol, laundry detergent and old hand and bath towels.
Candlelight Tours will be from 6 to 8 p.m. on Saturday, Dec. 2. Entertainment will be provided by the TheinSnipps from Fort Recovery and Eric Rogers and piano students from Arts Place will provide music on the 1890s piano.
Family Day will be from 1 to 4 p.m. on Sunday, Dec. 10. There will be activities and crafts for children, including a scavenger hunt for ornaments. There will be a visit from Santa with a free picture taken and entertainment from CollinKreigbaum . There will also be refreshments.
Another Open House will be from 1 to 4 p.m. on Saturday, Dec. 16.
