Kathy Gray

Kathy Gray, 70, of Portland, Indiana, passed away at 7:54 p.m. on Friday, Nov. 10, 2017, at her residence in Portland, Indiana. She was born on Tuesday, May 20, 1947, in Bluffton, Indiana. She married Phillip Gray on Thursday, Feb. 16, 1989, at the Sugar Grove Nazarene Church, Jay County, Indiana. Kathy graduated from Bluffton High School. She studied public service at Ball State University for two years. She attended the Bryant Wesleyan Church. She was a board member of the Reigns of Faith. Kathy had worked at Jay-Randolph Developmental Services for many years helping those with disabilities learn life skills. She had served the public most of her life. 

Loving survivors include her husband Phillip Gray, Portland, Indiana; daughter Amy Reidt, Portland, Indiana; son Tyler (Cassandra) Reidt, Portland, Indiana; daughter Ann Boles, Portland, Indiana; sisters Judy Cline, Minnesota, Peggy Barnell, North Carolina, and Sally Conwell, Portland, Indiana; eight grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her father Don Ellenberger, mother Mary (Odom) Ellenberger and sister Vicky Ellenberger.

Family and friends may gather to share and remember at Downing & Glancy Funeral Home, 100 N. Washington St., Geneva, on Thursday, Nov. 16, 2017, from 3 to 7 p.m.

A service to celebrate Kathy’s life will be at Downing & Glancy Funeral Home at 7:30 PM on Thursday, Nov. 16, 2017, with Pastor Paul VanCise officiating. Interment will be at a later date in the Six Mile Cemetery, Bluffton, Indiana.
