FINDLAY, Ohio — The honors keep rolling in for Will Homan.

His teammates were recognized as well.

Homan, a Fort Recovery High School senior, was named offensive player of the year for Division VI by the OHSAA Northwest District Athletic Board on Thursday.

The nod comes on the heels of earning Midwest Athletic Conference player of the year honors.

Three other Indian players were also honored by the NWDAB.

Homan, who was also a first-team running back, broke his own school record this year by rushing for 2,400 yards on 266 carries for an average of nine yards per rush. He also had 22 touchdowns as he helped lead the Indians to a 6-5 (5-3 MAC) record and the playoffs for the fourth consecutive year.

Andrew Stocker was named to the first-team defense as a lineman. He had 75 tackles and led the team with 12 tackles for loss and 5.5 sacks. He also had one forced fumble and one fumble recovery.

Matt Kuess was a second-team offensive lineman, and Curt Grube earned honorable mention.

FINDLAY, Ohio — Eric Hemmelgarn was once again one of the best players in the conference.

Hemmelgarn, a 2014 Jay County High School graduate and senior at University of Saint Francis, was named to Mid-States Football Association Mideast League first team defense.

It was the second time in as many seasons the former Patriot earned all-conference honors.
