Family feels blessed after tornado
Letters to the Editor
To the editor:
We are blessed and want to thank you for blessing us even more by giving of yourselves, by helping us sort through debris, for providing a place to keep what was saved, for washing bags of soiled, rain-soaked, insulation-coated clothes and for bringing food to feed our family.
Thank you to all the volunteers all week for helping us pack and unpack all the salvaged and donated items to the rental house, for helping unload and unpack all the boxes and bags full of clothing, kitchen items, blankets and pillows.
Thank you for all the monetary donations from all the organizations, agencies and individuals, for all the clothes, shoes and household items and furniture that were more than enough to help our family and two other families in need.
To my family, to my church family, to our friends and to this community, you were truly Jesus’ hands, feet and heartbeat. Well done.
Thank you.
Sincerely,
Allen, Stacie, Ben, Michaela, Daniel, Emilie and Sarah Walter
Portland
Thankful
To the editor:
I would like to say thank you to the electricians and all other utility workers, sheriff’s department and all volunteers who helped with the county-wide clean-up after the tornado.
This was greatly appreciated by those who have had to regroup and rebuild.
Thanks to the powers that be that no one was injured.
