“Feel the Warmth" to be held in Dunkirk

Dunkirk's Feel the Warmth of Christmas will be held from 5:30 to 7 p.m. tonight in downtown Dunkirk.
Santa Claus will arrive on the fire truck and visit with children at the Pizza King. Pictures will be taken for $2 and pictures with the Grinch and Jack Skellington will also be taken at Slim Fisher Studio. Businesses from downtown to CVS will be open, decorated and offering treats and door prizes. Hot Dogs and hot drinks will be available at the VFW building and hot chocolate will be served at the News and Sun Office. Dunkirk Glass Days Committee will also have a 50/50 raffle.
Library events
Have you gotten a jump start on holiday shopping but feel overwhelmed with the task of wrapping everything? Jay County Public Library can help.
A gift wrapping workshop will be held at 6 p.m. Thursday in the Community Room at the library. The program is part of the Learning Together series and will be presented by Shirley Dollar and Jay County 4-H.
Participants need to bring two gifts to wrap.
A Holiday Open House will be held from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. Saturday at the library.
There will be refreshments and crafts will be available to make for elementary age children. Those younger will need to be supervised.
Don’t forget to check out the Holiday Stations Match-Up.
