Kylie Osborne rarely came off the court while she played for the Patriots.
The same is becoming true at the next level.
Osborne, a 2016 Jay County High School graduate, contributed all around the court for the Anderson University volleyball team as it went 4-2 in its last six matches.
The sophomore had six kills as the Ravens lost to Mount St. Joseph on Sept. 28 in the Heartland Collegiate Athletic Conference opener.
She then followed with five kills and five digs while helping on four blocks in a 3-2 loss to North Park in the Scarlet Hawk Invitational. The same day she had seven digs, six kills, helped on two blocks and added an assist in a 3-0 win over Illinois Tech.
Osborne notched 11 kills, fivedigs and one ace, and assisted on a block, as the Ravens beat Olivet on Saturday. She totaled four kills, two aces and two digs in a 3-0 victory over UC Clermont to finish the Scarlet Hawk Invitational with a 3-1 mark.
The former Patriot then had seven digs, six kills, an assist and an ace on Wednesday as the Ravens (9-13, 0-2 HCAC) fell to Rose-Hulman.

Led all players in kills Saturday for the Wright State University volleyball team as it defeated Cleveland State, 3-1.
The freshman had a match-high 18 kills to go with her five digs for the Raiders (7-10, 1-3 Horizon League). Her 18 killswas one shy of her career high she set Sept. 9 against West Virginia.
Barcus preceded Saturday’s effort with a team-best 11 kills with seven digs as Wright State fell to Oakland in three sets Friday.

Made a blip on the box score for the top-ranked University of Saint Francis football team in a 31-24 comeback win over the Marian Knights in the Franciscan Bowl.
The redshirt senior teamed with Spencer Cowherd to bring down Marian running back Maurice Woodward after a 1-yard gain in the first quarter. The NAIA No. 1 Cougars (5-0, 1-0 Mid-States Football Association-Mideast League) trailed No. 8 Marian 17-3 after the first quarter and 24-17 at halftime before scoring a touchdown in each of the third and fourth quarters to get the win.
Nick Hayden
Jay County – 2017
Played for the IU-East men’s golf ‘B’ team recently in a pair of tournaments.
Hayden led the Red Wolves by shooting 88 Saturday in the Miami UniversityHamiliton Harrier Fall Classic. He was 18th overall, helping IU-East ‘B’ finish sixth out of six teams.
He finished with 175 in the two-day IU-East Harbor Links Invitational on Sunday and Monday. He shot 91 Saturday and 84 Sunday as the ‘B’ team was fourth out of five teams with a total of 691.
Drew LeFever
South Adams – 2016
Set a career-high in rushing for the Taylor University football team on Saturday in a 24-20 loss to NAIA No. 13 Saint Xavier University.
LeFever, a sophomore, rushed four times for 21 yards. His longest carry went for eight yards. He also caught his first career pass, a 2-yard toss from quarterback Everett Pollard.
With the loss, the Trojans drop to 2-2 on the year.
Aleesha Goodwin
South Adams – 2015
Ran for the Indiana Tech women’s cross country team Saturdayin the Louisville Cross Country Classic.
Goodwin was 117th overall with her time of 21 minutes. 21.05 seconds, helping the Warriors finish second out of four teams in the small school Silver race.
Travis Sutter
Fort Recovery – 2017
Was the lead runner for the Ohio Northern University men’s cross country team Friday in the All Ohio Cross Country Championship in Cedarville.
Competing in the 8K open race, he finished 63rd overall, helping the Polar Bears finish 10th with 316 points.
Sutter had a time of 27 minutes, 33.3 seconds.
ONU’s varsity team won the 17-team collegiate Division III race with a score of 56 points.
Kirsten Jutte
Fort Recovery – 2016
Played for the Capital University volleyball team as it dropped three matches recently.
She had one kill and assisted on a block in a 3-0 loss Friday to Otterbein.
Jutte followed with two aces, two digs, akill and a block assist in a 3-1 defeat Saturday to Mount Vernon Nazarene, and later that same day notched a pair of digs, two aces and a kill as the Crusaders (9-12, 1-1 Ohio Athletic Conference) lost to Kenyon, 3-0.
Abbi Dunlavy

Also ranin the Louisville Cross Country Classic as a member of the IPFW women’s cross country team.
She was last out of 24 runners in 23 minutes, 18.46 seconds, as IPFW won the four-team NCAA Division I Silver race. Dunlavy was the sixth runner for the Mastodons, who won with a score of 27.
