As a senior, Drew LeFever was the premier running back for the Starfires.
He was the top rusher at the next level on Saturday.
LeFever, a 2016 South Adams High School graduate, posted career highs in touches,yards and touchdowns for the Taylor University football team in a 48-26 loss to Sienna Heights on homecoming.
The sophomore got the starting nod for the Trojans (2-3, 0-1 Mid-States Football Association-Mideast League). He rushed 15 times for 37 yards and two touchdowns. He first scored on a 1-yard rush as Taylor pulled within two, 21-19, with 34 seconds before halftime. LeFever then scored from the 1 in the third quarter to cap a 13-play drive as Taylor took a 26-21 lead.
He also had one catch for 13 yards.
LeFevre has appeared in all five games for the Trojans. He has 63 yards and two TDs on 23 carries, and three receptions for 30 yards.
Wes Wenning

Made his first career reception for the Ashland University football team Saturday in a 38-13 victory over Northern Michigan University.
The sophomore caught a 4-yard pass from John Davies during a fourth-quarter drive. The Eagles later punted.
Wenning also had two special teams tackles Sept. 16 in a 42-14 win overNorthwood, and recorded one stop in a 38-0 victory over Davenport on Sept. 30.
Eric Hemmelgarn

Had a pair of tackles and flushed the quarterback out of the pocket for the University of Saint Francis football team on Saturday in a 35-18 win over Concordia University.
The senior assisted on a tackle with Piercen Harnish in the second quarter, then had a solo stop in the fourth quarter as the NAIA No. 1 Cougars (6-0, 2-0 Mid-States Football Association-Mideast League) held off an upset bid by the No. 20 Cardinals.
Hemmelgarn also had two QB hurries.

Led the Wright State University volleyball team in kills Wednesday in a 3-1 win over Youngstown State.
The freshman had 13 kills to go with her two digs, one assist and one block.
She also had 10 kills, three blocks, one assist and a dig as in a 3-1 defeat Saturday toUniversity of Illinois-Chicago. Barcus totaled nine kills, two blocks, two digs and an ace as the Raiders (9-11, 3-4 Horizon League) defeated Green Bay 3-2 Friday.
Kylie Osborne

Played for the Anderson University volleyball team in a pair of losses recently.
The sophomore had five kills, twodigs and an ace Saturday in a 3-0 loss to Transylvania. She then had seven digs, three kills and assisted on a block as the Ravens (10-8, 3-2 Heartland College Athletic Conference) lost to Manchester on Wednesday, 3-0.
The former Patriot leads the team with 177 kills on the season, and her 186 digs are fourth on the squad.
Cassidy Rammel

Hada match-high kill totals three times for the University of Saint Francis volleyball team as it went 1-3 recently.
The junior had 19 kills with six digs and two blocks Oct. 5 in a 3-1 loss to Mount Vernon Nazarene. One day later, she shared the match-high of 11 kills while adding four digs and two aces. Rammel’s 11 kills in a 3-1 loss to Marian on Wednesday were also amatch high . She added 13 digs and one ace.
In a 3-1 victory over Grace College on Saturday, Rammel had 14 kills, five digs, two aces and a pair of blocks for the Cougars (7-16, 6-7 Crossroads League).
Ava Kunkler

Led all players in kills as the University of Saint Francis volleyball team lost to Grace College on Saturday.
The sophomore notched 14 kills while also adding a dig and a block.
Kunkler had a dozen kills Oct. 5 in a loss to Mount Vernon Nazarene before finishing second on the team with seven kills in a loss Friday against Taylor. She finished with seven kills and a block Wednesday in a defeat to Marian.
Kendra Siefring

Contributed recently for the University of Saint Francis volleyball team.
She had six kills, four blocks, two aces and two digs on Oct. 5 in a loss to Mount Vernon Nazarene. Siefring followed with four kills, three blocks and a dig on Friday in a loss to Taylor before notching nine kills, a match-high five blocks with two digs and an ace in a win over Grace on Saturday.
The sophomore totaled eight kills, five digs, three aces and two blocks in a loss Wednesday to Marian.
Kirsten Jutte

Had a career-high kill total for the Capital University volleyball team Saturday in a 3-2 loss to Chatham.
The sophomore had 11 kills, which put her in a three-way tie for second on the team. She also had three digs, oneaces and assisted on a block.
She added five kills, four digs and a block as the Crusaders (9-15, 1-3 Ohio Athletic Conference) lost to Muskingum 3-1 on Tuesday.
Emi Minnich
Burris – 2016
Ran for the Moody Bible College women’s cross country team Fridayin the Bethel College Invitational.
The sophomore was 64th overall with her time of 20 minutes, 22.6 seconds, as the Archers’ No. 2 runner. Moody, which is the defending National Christian College Athletic Association Division II national champion, totaled 326 points to finish 11th out of 18 teams.
Aquinas College won with 45 points.

S. Adams – 2015
Also competed in the Bethel College Invitational as a member of the Indiana Tech Warriors.
The junior had a time of 20 minutes, 51.7 seconds, as she was 81st overall and sixth on the team for Indiana Tech. The Warriors totaled 229 points to finish eighth.
