Homemakers to hold craft fair at library
Taking Note
Jay County Extension Homemakers Club invites the public to a Fall Craft Fair in the Jay County Public Library Community Room.
It will be held from 1 to 5 p.m. Tuesday.
Free make it and take it crafts will include book marks, gift boxes, pin cushions, yarn dolls, sock snowmen and snowmen door hangers.
Other crafts available to make will be a leather item for $3 and beaded earrings for $5 and there will be candy making with samples and door prizes.

Anderson at Arts Place
The exhibit Inhale/Exhale, a collection of paintings and drawings by local artist Scott Anderson, will be on display at Arts Place in Portland through Nov. 6.
Anderson teaches undergraduate and graduate level painting and drawing courses at Ball State University.
A reception will be held from 5 to 7 p.m. on Oct. 20, with music by Ken Bantz, complimentary appetizers and a cash bar.
Arts Place is located at 131 E. Walnut St. It is open from 10 a.m. to 9 p.m. Monday through Thursday and 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. on Friday.

The Friends of the Library will host a book sale Monday through Saturday, Oct. 21 at Fort Recovery Public Library. Used books, audio books and DVDs will be available for sale.
