City mishap

Damage in a Monday accident at Wayne and Water streets in Portland was estimated at between $1,000 and $2,500.

Brenda J. Gillum, 58, Bryant, told Portland police she was turning from Water Street to Wayne Street about 5:50 p.m. and took the corner too sharply. Her 2005 Chevrolet Silverado pickup truck clipped the left front fender of a 2006 Chevrolet Trailblazer driven by Breanna R. Lothridge, 15, Portland.

Mirrors meet

The rearview mirrors of a pair of pickup trucks were damaged when they struck one another on county road 700 South, east of county road 500 East, about 10:50 a.m. Monday.

Allen W. Mangas, 52, rural Portland, was eastbound in a 2008 Ford F-25 when he encountered a westbound 2017 Chevrolet pickup driven by Christopher A. Hensley, 25, Mayesville, South Carolina.

The collision resulted in less than $1,000 in damage.
