Betty Whipple Rotino, age 85, 127 E. Adams Street, Portland, passed away Monday afternoon at Persimmon Ridge Healthcare. She was born in Jay County on Jan. 5, 1932, the daughter of William K. and Olah May (Woodard) Bost. She was married to Fred Whipple, who died in 1990, and then Thomas Rotino, who died in 2013. She had worked at CTS for 25 years, Telephone Office and Anchor Hocking. She was a member of Saratoga Church of God.
Surviving are one son, Fredrick M. Whipple (wife Deborah) of Portland;, one brother, Clinis Bost of Fort Wayne; one sister, Wanda Branscum of Dunkirk; two grandsons, David Koons and Chad Whipple; five stepgrandchildren, Jason Murphy, Rebecca Murphy, Jared Murphy, Nathan Murphy and Micah Murphy; and several stepgreat-grandchildren
Funeral services will be 2 p.m. Friday in the Baird-Freeman Funeral Home with Pastor Steve McCart presiding. Burial will follow in the Green Park Cemetery. Viewing will be Friday from noon to 2 p.m.
Memorials can be made to the Alzheimer's Association.
