Carley Stone is once again among the best players in the Midwest Athletic Conference.

Stone, a Fort Recovery High School senior volleyball player, was named first team All-MAC for her efforts on the court.

Four other players earned all-conference recognition.

It is the second consecutive year Stone earned first-team All-MAC honors. The last Tribe player to be named to the first team in back-to-back years was 2016 graduate and current University of Saint Francis Cougar Kendra Siefring.

Stone totaled 254 kills, which was tops on the team and fourth in the conference. New Bremen senior Paige Jones, who was unanimously voted conference player of the year, led the conference with 460 kills.

Senior Kiah Wendel, junior Cassy Martin and sophomore Paige Jutte were named to the All-MAC second team. Wendel was fifth in the conference with 324 digs. Martin totaled 76 blocks, which was sixth in the MAC, and Jutte’s 187 kills ranked 14th.

Madi Rammel, a junior setter, totaled 545 assists which was fifth in the conference.

Fort Recovery, which was ranked fifth in the final OHSVCA Division IV poll, finished the regular season with a 19-3 record, which included a perfect 13-0 mark against non-conference opponents.

The Indians were 6-3 in MAC play, which tied St. Henry for fourth place. It was the best finish for the Tribe since it tied for second in 2006.

Coldwater, which is the top-ranked team in Division III, and Division IV No. 1 New Bremen were co-conference champions with 8-1 records in MAC contests.

Fort Recovery opens postseason play as it hosts MAC rival and ninth-ranked Marion Local at 6:30 p.m. Thursday at Fort Site Fieldhouse.
