Mark A. “Myron” Dirksen, 48, Bluffton, Ohio, a former Fort Recovery resident, died Monday at Blanchard Valley Hospital, Findlay, Ohio.
Born in Coldwater, Ohio, to Urban and Bernice (Timmerman) Dirksen, he was a 1987 graduate of Mississinawa Valley High School in Union City, Ohio.
He was employed at Crown Corporation, Celina, Ohio, and was a member of Fraternal Order of Eagles, Versailles, Ohio.
Surviving are his father, Urban Dirksen, Fort Recovery; his fiancé, Mary Gazarek, Bluffton, Ohio; four brothers, Larry Dirksen, Fort Recovery, Mike Dirksen (wife: Sherry), Union City, Ohio, and Dan Dirksen (wife: Stacie) and Brian Dirksen, both of Versailles, Ohio; a sister, Karen Timmerman (husband: Abe), Fort Recovery; and several nieces and nephews.
A Mass of Christian burial will be 10:30 a.m. Friday at St. Paul Catholic Church, Sharpsburg, Ohio, with the Rev. Ned Brown officiating.
Visitation is 2 to 8 p.m. Thursday and 9 to 9:45 a.m. Friday at Brockman-Boeckman Funeral Home in Fort Recovery.
Memorials may be sent to the Bryan Clauson Tower at the National Spring Car Hall of Fame, Knoxville, Iowa, at sprintcarhof.com.
