Stippses celebrated 50th anniversary
Jimmie and Betty (Thomas) Stipp celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary on Saturday with family.
They were married on Sept. 23, 1967, by the Rev. Kail Ruffner at West Walnut Street Church of Christ in Portland.
Betty retired from MSSL in Portland after 28 years. Jim retired from the Portland Street Department and was a volunteer with the Portland Fire Department for 47 years.
The couple have six children, Bonnie Vorhees, Lori Thomas (husband:?Mark), James Stipp (wife: Jo Dee), Michael Thomas (wife: Kim), John Stipp and Cathy Stipp (deceased). They have 12 grandchildren and 12 great-grandchildren.
