The 4th annual Shutterbug Show will be held from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. Saturday at Jay County Fairgrounds in Portland.
The show is one of the largest scale model events in the Midwest.
Registration is from 8 a.m. to noon and the cost is $5 for the first model and $2 for each additional model. A Shutterbug Picture Car & Truck Show will also be held and the entry fee is $10 per picture. Awards will be given.
Revell Model Company and Jay County REMC will sponsor a make-it-and-take-it program for children to build a model.
The show is sponsored by Jay County Visitors & Tourism Bureau and Jay County REMC Touchstone Energy Cooperatives. For more information, call Ed Ferguson at (260) 273-1447.
Artifact show
Fort Loramie Historical Association Artifact Show will be held Sunday at the F.L.H.A. Museum, 37 N. Main St. in Fort Loramie, Ohio.
Displays can be set up from 9 to 11:30 a.m. and the show will be held from 1 to 4 p.m.
Artifacts can include arrowheads, pottery, stone tools, military items and more. Anyone wanting to set up a display can call the museum at (937) 295-3855, Ken Sowards at (937) 295-3764 or Ken Gigandet at (937) 295-3607.

National Library Week will begin Monday at Jay County Public Library with the theme “Libraries Lead,” highlighting how libraries go beyond being a source of books.

Clubs meeting this month at JCPL include Cookbook Club at 6:15 p.m. on Monday. Amie Carpenter of Purdue Extension will present tasty recipes made with chickpeas; JayCPL Book Club will meet at 7 p.m. on Monday, April 16, to discuss “All the Light We Cannot See” by Anthony Doerr; Friends of JCPL will meet at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday, April 17; JayCPL Writers Guild will meet at 6:30 p.m. on Monday, April 30; and Hook & Needles Club will meet at 5 p.m. on Tuesday, April 24.
Children’s programs this month will include Story & Fun Time at 10 a.m. on Monday, April 16, 23 and 30 and again at 10 a.m. on Tuesday, April 10, 17 and 24; Mother Goose & Me will begin at 10 a.m. on Friday, April 13, 20 and 27; Lego Free Build will be from 2:30 to 5:30 p.m. on Thursday, April 12, 19 and 26.
Kindergarten Prep School (KiPS) will be held June 5 through July 31 for children entering kindergarten in the Jay School Corporation in the fall. Registration forms are available at the library or will be given at Kindergarten Round-up. The deadline to register is May 15.

“Tesla: Visionary or Madman?” will be held from 6:30 to 7:45 p.m. on Wednesday, April 11.
“Josef Mengele: Hunting A Nazi Criminal” will be held from 6:30 to 7:45 on April 17.
