FORT RECOVERY — Olivia Homan didn’t allow a hit in the first game.
The Redskins took out their aggression in game two.
Fort Recovery High School’s softball team split a pair of five-inning games Friday with the Fort Loramie Redskins.
Homan tossed a no-hitter in the first game, a 1-0 FRHS win, but Fort Loramie rebounded to score four runs in two separate innings to take game two, 8-3.
Despite allowing four walks, Homan didn’t give up a run in the opener. She struck out five to give the Indians their second win in as many games.
Fort Recovery (2-1) scored its only run in the fourth inning. Hannah Knapke reached on a two-out error, and advanced to second on a single from Taylor Grisez. Then, Aleigha Jenkins reached on an error that allowed Knapke to score.
Taylor Thien, Brenna Homan and Grisez each had singles for the Indians.
With the victory, Fort Recovery is already just one win away from matching its total from last season.
In game two, Fort Loramie scored four runs the second and third innings for an 8-0 advantage. Fort Recovery chipped away with two runs in the third frame and one in the fourth but weren’t able to get any more.
Olivia Homan had two hits and an RBI, while Bailey Tebbe contributed two singles as well. Knapke and Grisez both notched RBIs.
