Wednesday vs. Lansing Lugnuts: Fort Wayne finally got its first win of the season on Wednesday with a 9-4 victory over the Lansing Lugnuts (Toronto Blue Jays).

The TinCaps (1-6) fell behind 3-1 in the seventh inning before the home team had its best offensive inning of the young season.

Jeisson Rosario hit a two-run single with bases loaded in the home half of the seventh inning to tie the game, and Esteury Ruiz followed an RBI to give Fort Wayne the lead. A few batters later, Carlos Belen blasted a grand slam to cap an eight-run inning for the TinCaps, who snapped a six-game losing streak.



Notes: TinCaps starter Nick Margevicius had his second straight solid outing, allowing only two earned runs in 5 2/3 innings. He also struck out six ... Ruiz hit his first RBI of the season. The 19-year-old infielder is off to a slow start with a .174 batting average. ... Jack Suwinski lofted a solo home run in the fifth inning for his second of the season. He was the only TinCaps player to have a multi-hit game Wednesday.
