Paul Cox
March 25, 1943-April 17, 2018
Paul L. Cox, 75, of Saratoga, passed away on Tuesday, April 17, 2018, at the Pine Knoll Rehabilitation Center in Winchester. He was born in Union City, Indiana, on March 25, 1943, to Harold and Naomi (Thornburg) Cox.
Paul was a 1962 graduate of Winchester High School. He worked as a tool maker for Maul Brothers for 43 years. Paul enjoyed fishing, camping and watching the Cincinnati Reds, Indianapolis Colts, Indiana Pacers, Indiana University basketball and NASCAR.
Paul is survived by his wife, Karen (Wymer) Cox of Saratoga; two sons, Jason (April) Cox and Jeremy (Amanda) Cox, all of Winchester; two step-sons, Steven (Donisa) Alexander of Roanoke, Indiana, and Gary (Bonnie) Alexander of Ansonia, Ohio; a step-daughter, Kristine Alexander of Portland; 16 grandchildren; and two brothers, Simeon (Mary Jo) Cox of Union City, Indiana, and Melvin (Jeanette) Cox of Ansonia.
He was preceded in death by his parents; a son, Justin Cox; a sister, Violet; and three brothers, Reuben, Francis and Darwin Cox.
Funeral services for Paul will be at 1 p.m. Friday, April 20, 2018, at the Walker Funeral Home in Winchester, with Keith Moses officiating. Burial will follow at the Fountain Park Cemetery in Winchester.
Friends and family may call from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. on Friday at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, memorials can be made to the Cancer Services of Randolph County, 133 N. Meridian St., Winchester, IN 47394, with envelopes available at the funeral home.
