Poling HS to hold reunion

The 87th Poling High School Alumni Banquet will be held on May 5 in the fellowship building of Union Chapel Church, 6200 N. 375 West, Bryant.

Doors will open at 4 p.m. for everyone to visit. There will be punch and pictures and annuals to look at.

Classes to be honored include 1908, 1918, 1928, 1938, 1948 and 1958.

The meal will be served at 5:30 p.m. and will be brought to the table. It will include cube steak, mashed potatoes and gravy, California blend with cheese sauce, rolls, coleslaw, applesauce, homemade pie or cake, lemonade, tea or coffee.

Kite Festival

Hoosier Kitefliers Society, Inc. will host the Ansel Toney Memorial Kite Festival in May.

The event will be held from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. on Saturday, May 5, at the Academy of Model Aeronautics, 5161 E. Memorial Drive in Muncie.

Bring a kite to fly with Hoosier Kitefliers, participate in a kite making workshop and view pictures of Ansel Toney (the Kite Man of Indiana).

Darryal Hawkins and friends will offer food vending and soft drinks.
