Frances Heston
Feb. 25, 1925-April 28, 2018
Frances L. Heston, 93, Redkey, passed away at 9:15 a.m., Saturday while in the company of family members, at Persimmon Ridge, Portland.
Frances was born in Redkey on Feb. 25, 1925, a daughter of the late Pearl (Moyer) and Paul DeVoss. She was a 1945 graduate of Governor IP Gray High School, and the loving wife of Herbert L. Heston, who survives her. Frances was a member of the Ridgeville American Legion Auxiliary Post 507, Portland Moose Auxiliary and DAV Auxiliary Chapter 24 Life Member, and was an avid BINGO player.
Frances is survived by her husband Herb; one son, Randall Ray Heston (wife: Joyce) of Portland, Indiana; two daughters, Lu Ann Fugiett (husband: Rodney) of Redkey, Indiana, and Terri L. Heston (Jeff Shauver) of Redkey, Indiana; one sister-in-law, Norma DeVoss, of New Mount Pleasant, Indiana; five grandchildren; 14 great-grandchildren; and one great-great-grandchild, Zoey.
She was preceded in death by her parents; one son, Danny Joe Heston; one daughter, Diana Jo Heston; one brother, Jim DeVoss; and one sister, Mary Jo Zimmerman.
Friends are invited to call Tuesday from 2 to 4 p.m. and 6 to 8 p.m. at MJS Mortuaries – Redkey Chapel.
Funeral services will be held at MJS Mortuaries – Redkey Chapel at 10 a.m. Wednesday with Pastor Craig Cotherman officiating.
Graveside services will follow in Hillcrest Cemetery, Redkey.
In lieu of flowers the family requests donations be sent to The Hospice Family Life Care in Berne, Indiana.
