Norman V. Espy, age 87, of Warren, Indiana, passed away Saturday, Aug. 4, at his residence.
He was born in Tipton County, Indiana, April 24, 1931, the son of Robert and Adrian (Stout) Espy. He was married Dec. 15, 1989 to Beverly Martin, who survives.
He served with the U.S. Army and was owner of Espy Shoe Repair in Bluffton.
Surviving are his wife Beverly; six sons, Kenneth Espy of Fremont, Norman Espy of Arkansas, Robert Espy of Arkansas, Kevin Espy of West Virginia, Michael Espy of Marion and Steven Espy of Uniondale; three daughters, Rebecca Landon of Portland, Carolyn Espy-Brady of Monument, Colorado, and Shirley Rogers of Texas; step-son Jeffrey Sudduth of Decatur; and step-daughter Jodi Manning of Bluffton; and several grandchildren, great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren.
Funeral services will be 1 p.m. Thursday, Aug. 9, in the Baird-Freeman Funeral Home with Pastor Todd Wilson presiding. Burial will follow in the Center Cemetery with military graveside rites by American Legion Post #211.
Visitation will be Wednesday from 3 to 7 p.m. Memorials can be made to the choice of the donor.
