Senior Expo set for Saturday
Jay County Chamber of Commerce will host its Senior Expo from 8 a.m. to 1 p.m. Saturday.
The event at Jay Community Center, 115 E. Water St., Portland, will include a variety of services for senior citizens. Admission is free.
Visitors can receive a free skin cancer screening with IU Health Jay’s Dr. Monzier Haque. Blood pressure checks will also be available.
Jay County Sheriff’s Office will offer disposal of unused medication. There will also be a coffee klatsch from 8 to 9 a.m., bingo games, educational seminars, yoga and food samples from LifeStream Services.
Hosting seminar
Lifestream will host the free seminar “Understanding Medicare and Medicare Advantage Plans” at 2 p.m. Aug. 23 at Kennedy Library in Muncie.
The event will feature State Health Insurance Assistance Program counselors as well as insurance representatives.
